High-Performance Scanning:

The Argox AS-8250 delivers fast and accurate scanning with its 2048-pixel CCD sensor and a rapid 200 scans-per-second speed. It can read 1D barcodes from a distance of up to 250 mm, making it ideal for both close and mid-range applications.

  • High scan speed: Up to 200 scans/second for fast, smooth data capture. 

  • Long range read: Scans from contact up to 250 mm (~10″) on Code 39 with 90 % contrast. 

  • CCD imaging engine: 2048-pixel CCD with red LED (660 nm) light source for sharp capture. 

  • Excellent resolution: Can resolve down to 0.1 mm (4 mil) barcodes with ≥30 % print contrast. 

  • Multi-symbology support: Reads all standard 1D codes (Code 39, UPC‑A/E, EAN‑13/8, Code 128, Interleaved 2/5, Code 93, Codabar, MSI, etc.) plus PDF417 & Code 16K. 

  • Rugged build: ABS with elastic inserts, reliable trigger (1 million actuations), cable rated 320k bends at 90°, and drop tolerance up to 1.5 m onto concrete. 

  • Outdoor-friendly: Works under harsh lighting, up to ~80k lux (direct sunlight). 

  • Plug-and-play: Interfaces include USB HID, Keyboard Wedge, and RS-232—all supported out of the box. 

  • Extra modes: Able to operate in both handheld and fixed presentation modes with optional adjustable stand. 

  • Wide temp tolerance: Operates from 0 °C to 45 °C and can be safely stored from –40 °C to 60 °C. Humidity range 5–90% non-condensing, IP42-rated.

Rugged Design for Demanding Environments:

Built with durable ABS housing and a reinforced trigger rated for 1 million actuations, the AS-8250 is designed to withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters. It’s also capable of operating under intense lighting (up to 80,000 lux), ensuring reliable performance indoors or out.
